Into Eternity We Say 'Good Bye'

In Christ alone a life with lives
With love, grace and joy shared with all who were met
With Jesus finished preparing the mansion
His child is home.

"Well done my child"
He said with a smile
"I have been preparing a place for you"
With eternity at hand the worship began.

No more pain, sorrow or trials.
A time of great reward at hand
Their Savior Jesus Christ met face to face
A life of faith complete.

While we miss our friend, child and colleague
Our Lord we thank
That on His cross of Calvary
He spoke to our loved one.

Jesus grace was great
His love so sweet
Regardless of life's trials
Our friend has entered their eternal mansion
With Jesus on their side.

This poem has been prepared for the people who use The Verse of the Day website during a season of grief. It is dedicated in the loving memory of your special friend or family member who is in eternity with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

  • Bible Reading
  • John 1:1-5
  • In the beginning was the Word, and Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
