Prayers For Today

Are you struggling with what words to use when praying? Our Prayers for Today will help you to express yourself to Jesus. Each prayer we have prepared is meant as a guide. We encourage you to substitute what we have prepared into your own words. God looks at the sincerity of the heart while praying. If it is too hard to substitute the words and you pray with a sincere heart the Lord will hear you. It is up to God in His infinite wisdom in how He answers you.

Before Having Surgery Sample Prayer

Jesus thank you for my surgeon. Thank you that he / she has taken the time to understand my body and is able to see how I am fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image. Lord as I am operated on I pray you would guide my surgeons’ hands and mind. Help him / her to be Your hands repairing my body and restoring my health. Lord I pray for the many support staff that will be caring for me over the next several weeks. Jesus I commit them to you. I pray Your decisions will be made for my life. Jesus in this whole process I pray You would be glorified. Thank you for Your unfailing love. Amen

  • Bible Reading
  • John 1:1-5
  • In the beginning was the Word, and Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
