Prayers For Today

Are you struggling with what words to use when praying? Our Prayers for Today will help you to express yourself to Jesus. Each prayer we have prepared is meant as a guide. We encourage you to substitute what we have prepared into your own words. God looks at the sincerity of the heart while praying. If it is too hard to substitute the words and you pray with a sincere heart the Lord will hear you. It is up to God in His infinite wisdom in how He answers you.

Quitting Smoking Sample Prayer

Lord Jesus I humbly come before you. Lord Jesus I need Your help and strength. I pray You would do a work inside of me that would break my addiction to smoking. Lord Jesus it is my desire to honor You and the body you have given me. I pray You will work deep inside of me and grant me the strength and endurance needed to break my habit to smoking. Lord Jesus I pray You would empower me through Your Holy Spirit for this very purpose. Help me to trust in You. Lord Jesus I pray You would provide support for me as I endeavor to grow closer to You. Thank you for the obedience to God the Father by dying in my place on the cross. Lord Jesus draw me closer to You. Remind me You are close when I face temptation. Lord Jesus if I stumble give me the courage to persevere. I need You and I will only be able to stop smoking because You have done a work inside of me. Thank you for hearing my prayer Lord Jesus. Amen

  • 1 Timothy 1:15-16
  • It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. And yet for this reason I found mercy, in order that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience, as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.
