I am at the point right now where I could begin using our new queue. I've had it running for the past 2 days with just my subscription. What I am seeing in all the log files is what I expect. The e-mail is delivered.
I need to be at my computer when I first make it live to assess if there are any issues that I can detect to address them immediately. I am going to wait until Monday to turn it on for each of your subscriptions. I personally need a break. I've been pushing myself hard. I can't sustain the pace. I need the day of rest the Lord Jesus took during his earthly ministry.
This weekend I've decided to do something very special. There are a number of youth and young adults in the community who look up to me as a role model. One of the young men came to see me in October. His girl friend is pregnant. I am sewing bibs for them to help in a practical way as they start their family together. I am going to work on this during Saturday and Sunday. My mind should be fresh and alert to deal with the queue on Monday.
You may always use the web edition of The Verse of the Day. The current edition is always found here.
Since next week will be one of transition these are links you may use if I have to shut down the queue for any changes:
- Friday January 4th 2019
- Saturday January 5th 2019
- Sunday January 6th 2019
- Monday January 7th 2019
- Tuesday January 8th 2019
- Wednesday January 9th 2019
- Thursday January 10th 2019
- Friday January 11th 2019
There are a few days between now and Monday. If there are any of you who have questions for me that will be helpful to you in the transition please feel free to e-mail me and ask. Ultimately all the programming I've been doing is to get back to the routine where you can plan your time with the Lord Jesus and be strengthen and renewed. I want to make the transition as easy as possible for each of you. Each of you aren't account # to me. I see each of you as a person. I know when I am dealing with my own life and asking the Lord Jesus for the stamina to sustain me I rely on that quiet time with Him. I want to honor what each of you entrusts to me as I make this change.
